Open Files

This tool is useful for opening files. Compared to the standard Windows dialog, it offers the utility to set the working directory, add or remove folders from Favorites, and view the Properties of the selected file.

Save and Save File As

These tools are useful for saving files. Save allows you to save the file directly, while Save As enhances the standard Windows dialog box, offering the ability to fill in the file properties fields and the option to add a prefix to the file name using the Numbering tool.

Pack and Go

This tool is useful to export the active 3D scene with all its external 3D and 2D files.
Note
This tool only works with 3D scenes that have externally linked files.

There are three export modes available:
- Unlink all externally linked files and save the new scene in a New file
- Copy the scene and all linked files in a New folder
- Copy the scene and all the linked files in a new Zip file
if you choose to copy the scene or the Zip, other options will be activated:
- Copy the Attachments file
- Keep the folder hierarchy
- Copy also the 2D drawings
- Copy all the drawings
- Copy only the drawings that have the same name as the 3D file
- Relink the 2D with the new 3D file
Warning
If you have many drawings and have chosen to reconnect 2D files, the processing time will increase accordingly.

Insert File

Allows you to insert an external file (with or without a link) into the current scene; unlike the Insert Standard Part/Assembly tool, it does not require you to choose the type of link (standard or limited), and if the scene to be inserted contains multiple parts/assemblies at the top level, it does not allow you to select the part/assembly to be inserted, but imports everything.

Import Files

This tool is useful for importing many files at the same time; you can import different file formats (Acis, Parasolid, Step, Romulus, (if you have the IC-Trans AddOn, also IFC and SolidWorks)) from different directories, plus you can choose whether to import them all into the current scene, or all into a new scene, or each individually into a new scene.

Operativity
- Selects the files and creates the import list,
- Select the scene into which to import the files,
- if in a new scene, choose the directory,
- Click the Import button.
ProCatalogSet


Allows you to create, edit, and save Catalog Presets so you can easily manage the opening or replacement of entire catalog sets on the fly.

ProActive Manager is a big piece of the ICMechanical, is a utility that quickly and easily manages the properties of the elements, such as Name, Description, Code, Material etc… It allows you to create BOMs in the 3D scene, you can create them easily and in many different ways with a lot of settings.

Code Generator allows you to automatically generate and assign UserName, PartNumber and Description according to variables related to the model, so that the edit of the model even the Name, PartNumber and Description will be updated to the new value.

Capture Image

It is a useful tool for capturing and editing images.

You can capture the entire scene,

Or just the selected part/assembly,

If you need to, you can capture the entire IronCAD window,

Once you’ve taken the image you want, you can resize it, save it in different formats (png, jpg, tiff, bmp, gif), copy it to the clipboard, open it directly in MsPaint, or edit its brightness, saturation, and colors.

Add Attachment

The Add Attachment command allows you to attach a file or web page to a part or assembly in the scene.

Replace Elements

Replace Elements allows you to replace an element(s) of the other one.

ICMCatalog

With this tool, you can choose how to view the ICMech catalogs.

Properties Manager

This tool that allows customers to define and save and group families of Property presets. A property can be a group of information to apply to the scene elements. These information can be: material, color, category, and custom data.


- Create a new folder Properties
- Delete the folder Properties
- Create a new preset Properties
- Delete the preset Properties

- Save preset Properties
- Open preset Properies from a file
- Get Properties from a Selected Element
- Insert a new row of Properies
- Delete a Properties row
Once saved, these property presets can be quickly applied to other objects in the model with the Set Properties tool.


- Show Properties at the bottom of dialog box
- Apply selected Properies to the Element
Info
The properties are text files stored in the ..\Prefs\Properties\ folder.
So it’s very easy to edit, create or share these properties between users in the same department.
